Connecting leaders from around the global agri-food ecosystem
How we produce and consume food is undergoing a dramatic transformation. From subterranean farms, space-enabled tech, and next generation micro-foods, to lab-grown meat and ‘printed’ pizza, the agri-food industry has seen unprecedented levels of innovation. But as the pressures of population growth and climate change on our food systems increase, more collaboration and even bolder approaches are needed to mainstream eco-safe and inclusive industry practices to meet global sustainable development goals (SDGs).
In a year in which the world is set to refocus its attention on cutting carbon emissions, the FT Global Food Systems 2021 will showcase the work of pioneering farmers, agri-food companies, and key stakeholders working in concert to reduce the negative impacts of food production on the environment and society. We will ask what food systems leaders are doing differently to produce growth that is in harmony with the needs of the environment and society, without sacrificing profit.

"FT Global Food Systems was one of the best I’ve experienced at cultivating diversity in speakers across many dimensions - gender, race, age, stakeholders, geography and perspectives. Even to the point of some uncomfortable conversations. But those are exactly the conversations that need to be happening."
